A recent study by Whitney Threadcraft-Walker, Ph.D. and Melody Mitchell Threadcraft, Ph.D. examining the influences of demographic and contextual factors on probation outcomes among diverse female probationers found that location was more predictive of probation failure than race, ethnicity, offense severity, or even risk score.
